You Belong at the Table

 

This past weekend, I had the honor of being featured in a local art show called the Federal Way Arts Explosion. It felt a little surreal to see my paintings hanging in a gallery alongside hundreds of incredible works by other talented artists. The pieces shown in the photo above are the ones that were featured in the exhibit.

 

Participating in this show made me reflect on something important. Many of the artists I met have been mastering their craft for years, and yet, standing there with them, I realized: we all deserve a seat at the table.

 

It doesn’t matter how long you’ve been creating, whether you went to art school, or have any formal credentials. What matters is that your voice is uniquely yours—and that makes it worthy of being heard.

 

If you’ve been feeling hesitant to share your work or speak up, I hope this message serves as a reminder: you belong, and your voice is powerful.
