When the Christmas Lights Don't All Turn On

When the Christmas Lights Don't All Turn On

Hi Friends,

Who else has started decorating for Christmas? That’s exactly how I spent my weekend. I put on a couple of my favorite Christmas movies, pulled the storage bins up from the basement, and let myself get lost in all the little treasures I’ve collected over the years. Honestly, decorating might be my favorite part of the season; choosing a theme, remembering where each piece came from, and feeling all those memories bubble up.

But there was one hiccup in my festive plans… my tree.

I’ve had this tree for a while and truly love it, but when I plugged it in this year, whole sections stayed dark. A few strands flickered back to life, others only half-lit, and some stayed stubbornly unlit no matter what I tried.

Standing there feeling a little bummed, I realized the tree was such a perfect reflection of my year. Some parts have lit me up in the best ways, and others… not so much. Some plans worked beautifully, others fell flat or led me somewhere completely unexpected.

And that’s just life, isn’t it?

Our ideas don’t always unfold the way we imagine. But we always have a choice: we can let the disappointment take over, or we can get curious, shift direction, and maybe even discover something better than the original plan.

Sometimes the detour ends up being the exact thing we needed.

So if you hit a moment this week where things just aren’t going right or going the way you pictured; I hope you give yourself grace. I hope you feel safe exploring a different path, trusting that it might lead you somewhere even more beautiful.

A little holiday sneak peek 🎄
As I get ready for my Black Friday launch, I wanted to share what’s coming your way! This year’s holiday collection features two brand-new scents in both soap and body butter:

✨ Peppermint & Pine
Cool peppermint and fresh pine with a hint of chocolate; like a candy cane hanging on a Christmas tree.

✨ Christmas Morning
Cinnamon, vanilla, warm baked bread, and a touch of pine. It smells like waking up to cinnamon rolls in the oven while presents wait under the tree.

I’ll also have gift boxes available, wrapped beautifully with art prints to make holiday gifting effortless and extra special.

12 Days of Calm starts December 1st
If you haven’t signed up yet, don’t forget! Each day from December 1–12, I’ll send a gentle prompt to help you choose calm over chaos this season.

Everyone who joins will be entered to win a holiday gift box.

Only those who opt in will receive the daily emails, so make sure to click the link below if you want to be part of it.
