The Small Moments That Inspire Me
Share
Hi Friends,
I hope you had a wonderful weekend. The evenings are starting to turn chilly here, and I honestly love it. I love nothing better than sipping tea, curling up under a blanket with Olive, and watching a favorite fall or Halloween movie.
This weekend I spent a lot of time outside; walking through our local parks and soaking up the autumn sunshine. Nature is where I find most of my inspiration for both paintings and scents. The way sunlight filters through orange and gold leaves, the earthy smell after rain, or even the smoke from fireplaces drifting through the air all spark ideas. Before I started creating art and apothecary products, I often overlooked these small moments. Now, I pause to truly savor them.
I know I’ve landed on something special when a fragrance or a play of light literally takes my breath away. Those are the ideas that stay with me all day, tumbling around in my mind until they find their way into a painting or a bar of soap. It’s the most joyful part of creating and getting to share that joy with you makes it even better.
For those of you local to Tacoma, my art is once again on display at the Point Ruston Waterfront Market! Every piece there was inspired by the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest. If you stop by, I’m giving away free stickers and a special discount code as a thank you. If you’d like to preview the available paintings online, you can click the link below.
As you step into this week, I hope you give yourself a little time to savor the season and notice what inspires you. You never know where those small, magical moments might lead.
Stay cozy,
