Roses, Sunshine, and Stickers

Hi friends,
I hope you’re staying cool wherever you are — summer showed up in full force here in Washington this weekend! Blue skies, warm sun, and that undeniable feeling that the season is finally here.
This summer, I’ve set a creative challenge for myself: one painting a week, inspired by the beauty all around me in local parks and nature spots. This week’s piece is of a huge rose bush in full bloom — vivid pinks, the sweet scent of petals, and bees gently drifting from flower to flower. It was one of those moments that made me pause and really feel the season.
If you’re local to Tacoma, you can see these weekly paintings up close at the Pt. Ruston Market, where I’ll have them on display and available at auction. Not nearby? No worries — I’ll be sharing them on social as well, so be sure to follow along!
🌸 This small moment of beauty grounded me. It reminded me how powerful it is to slow down and notice the little things — a breeze, a color, the scent of summer. I hope something equally soft and grounding finds you this week.
