Romance & Reflection

 

I hope you had a weekend full of love. Whether that meant lingering a little longer with your favorite person, cooking something cozy at home, or carving out extra time for self-care; I hope you let yourself soak in the romance of it all. You deserve it.

 

I started a perfume class this past week, and I cannot tell you how inspired I feel. Learning how to layer notes, how a scent unfolds over time, how tiny adjustments completely change the mood; it’s like painting, but with fragrance. I’m absolutely bursting with ideas for upcoming blends I want to create. There is something so magical about bottling a feeling.

 

With the Lunar New Year beginning tomorrow and this year welcoming the Year of the Horse, I’m taking it as a gentle invitation to reflect and reset.

The horse symbolizes freedom, momentum, passion, and forward movement. 

If the past few months have felt slow, heavy, or uncertain, the Year of the Horse carries an entirely different rhythm. It asks us to step into courage. To move toward the things that set our hearts racing. To stop waiting for the “perfect” moment and instead begin.

 

So how can we bring a little Horse energy into this week without feeling overwhelmed?

• Take one bold step toward something you’ve been hesitating on; send the email, sign up for the class, sketch the idea, try a new routine.
• Reconnect with yourself. Where can you trust your own instincts a little more?
• Let yourself feel passionate about something without over-explaining it.
• Get outside if you can. Fresh air. Movement. Even a short walk to clear your mind.

 

Think of this week as gathering momentum for the year ahead, not rushing, but building energy. You don't have to achieve all your goals at once.

My Dark Romance/Phatom of the Opera inspired collection launches March 1st.

I’ve been pouring so much creative energy into this line, especially as I explore what I’m learning in the perfume class, and I truly think it’s some of my favorite scents yet.
